What sets this stay apart
Hilltop infinity pool
A cliff-edge pool that seems to spill into the valley — one of the highest infinity pools in Wayanad.
Forest-view cottages
Each cottage faces the Western Ghats. No overlooking rooms, no shared balconies.
Curated in-house dining
A small kitchen serving Kerala classics and continental plates with produce from around Wayanad.
Owner-hosted service
The family lives on property. Requests aren't logged into a ticketing system — they're just done.
Luxury, defined by what we leave out
The luxury conversation in Wayanad is easy to get wrong. Rain-shower fittings and imported linen matter, but they don't decide a stay. What decides a stay is whether you can hear the forest at night, whether the pool feels private, whether the person checking you in remembers your name the next morning.
Jungle Edge is designed around what we deliberately leave out. There are no banquet halls, no conference wings, no packaged sightseeing you're pushed to buy. Occupancy is capped so the resort never feels crowded. That restraint is where the sense of luxury actually lives.
A location that other luxury resorts can't buy
The property sits on a slope above the Kabini basin, minutes from the Tholpetty range of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. From the pool deck you can watch changing weather move across three valleys. Elephants and gaur cross the boundary path regularly; hornbills nest in the trees along the driveway.
For guests coming from Bangalore, Kochi or the Middle East, this proximity to real forest — without a two-hour buffer of roadside tourism — is the single hardest thing to replicate in the region.
The stay, day by day
Mornings start with filter coffee delivered to your balcony and a slow walk through the plantation. Afternoons are for the infinity pool, a spa treatment in-room, or a driver-led drive to Kuruva Island. Evenings settle into a campfire, a shared plate of appams and stew, and the kind of long conversation you rarely have in the city.
Every arrival is followed by a soft-briefing — no fixed itinerary, just a menu of what's possible over your dates and time to decide.
Where Jungle Edge sits in the Wayanad luxury map
Wayanad's luxury cluster runs from Vythiri and Lakkidi in the south to Mananthavady in the north. Jungle Edge is at the northern end, closer to the wildlife sanctuary, Thirunelli Temple and Kuruva Island — quieter, wilder and further from the highway noise of the southern stretch.
