What sets this stay apart
Private forest cottages
No shared walls or overlooking balconies. Each cottage is a small world.
Candlelit private dining
One dinner on the deck under lanterns — a set menu we plan around your preferences.
Sunset infinity pool ritual
A pool-deck sundowner with hot pakoras and mulled cider — quietly, with the valley on fire.
Couple's Ayurvedic therapies
In-cottage Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Swedish massage on request — no walking to a spa lobby.
Designed around slowness
The instinct on a honeymoon is often to over-plan — safaris, treks, temple visits, three photo shoots. The best trips we host do the opposite: two or three carefully chosen outings across the stay, with long unhurried mornings and evenings between them.
That's the shape we quietly encourage. Late breakfasts, a mid-morning walk, a rest, an afternoon by the pool, a golden-hour drive, dinner in-cottage or on the deck. The days stretch when they're not sliced up.
The rituals we've refined over years
A jasmine and roses turn-down on the first evening. A tea tray delivered at exactly the hour you asked. A private lantern dinner on night two — you pick a night with clear weather and we take care of the rest. On night three, a campfire we've kept just for you if the property is quiet enough.
None of this is 'a package' — it's how we set the table for a certain kind of stay. The moments matter more when they're small.
Photographs, memories, and staying off the grid
We keep a resident photographer's number handy — a young local who does the lightest, most natural couples' photography we've seen. Half an hour on the property at golden hour is usually enough. You'll get a framed print before check-out.
For couples who'd rather be offline, we can turn off in-cottage phones and lock the Wi-Fi voucher for the room — the world can wait three days.
Wayanad, seen from a honeymoon lens
The romantic circuit of Wayanad is smaller than the general tourist trail. A few well-chosen spots — a viewpoint, a river island, a temple at dawn — are more memorable than a checklist.
- Sunset viewpoint
- 900 Kandi cliff — 25 min drive; quiet on weekdays
- River morning
- Kuruva Island bamboo raft — book a private raft ahead
- Temple at dawn
- Thirunelli Temple, followed by Papanasini stream walk
- Best photo hour
- Golden hour on the pool deck (5:30 PM Oct–Feb)
- Best season
- October to February; mid-June for monsoon romantics
- Honeymoon length
- 3–4 nights ideal; 2 nights works but feels short
